TRANSFERRING MEMBERSHIP FROM ANOTHER
CHAPTER
If a Marist transfer student or graduate psychology student has already become a lifetime member of Psi Chi (not Psi Beta) at another institution, the membership can be transferred to the Marist Chapter.
There are several benefits to transferring membership. An active member of the Marist Chapter of Psi Chi may:
Because the one-time Psi Chi lifetime membership fee of $35 has already been paid, there is no additional National Psi Chi fee.
However, there is a one-time $5 Marist Chapter membership fee.
Checklist of Steps to Transfer Membership
□ Step 1: Print out and
complete the “Transfer of Membership to Another
Chapter Form” available at the link below.

□ Step 2: As indicated on the form, you have the OPTION of ordering a
New Certificate, Card, and/or Pin. If you are ordering any of these materials,
you must make out a check payable to “Psi Chi National Office” for
the appropriate amount.
□ Step 3: There is a
one-time Marist Chapter dues payment of $5. Make out a check payable to “
□ Step 4: Submit the
completed Transfer of Membership form and the check(s) to the Faculty Advisor.
The Faculty Advisor will sign the Form and mail it (with your check) to the
National Psi Chi Office.
Note: A student is not considered an active member of the Marist
Chapter of Psi Chi until the National Psi Chi Office has confirmed the
student’s membership in Psi Chi and has processed the Transfer of
Membership form.
