NOTE: PSYC STUDENTS MUST
ATTEND A MANDATORY ORIENTATION SESSION:

During the first several weeks of fall and
spring semesters, PSYC Fieldwork Orientation sessions are offered.
·
Students must attend ONE session the
SEMESTER BEFORE going into the field.
·
Instructors will announce the
date/time/place of the meetings.
·
Posters located in the Dyson stairway
bulletin boards will announce this information.
Step 1: Review the Course Description and
Prerequisites
Step 2: Figure Out Who’s Who in the Fieldwork Process
and See Their Contact Information
Step 3: Know the Deadlines for Setting Up a Placement for
Next Semester!!
Step 4: Decide How Much Fieldwork to Do
Step 5: Select a Fieldwork Placement - See the List of
Pre-Approved Fieldwork Sites
Step 6: Apply to Pre-Approved Fieldwork Placements…
OR
Step 7: Propose a New Fieldwork Site Within a
ONE-HOUR DRIVE of Marist College
Step 8: Register for Fieldwork
Step 9: Complete and Submit the
Fieldwork Contract AND Code of Ethics Forms by the Deadline
Step 10: Await Confirmation and
Communications
